Description: Dr. Joram Begi, Director of Higher Education for the State of Arunachal Pradesh in India, and Fulbright Scholar, Shri Vijay Swami will visit the USF campus to speak in an open forum about opportunities for research collaborations between USF and the Research Institute of World Ancient Traditions and Cultures (RIWATCH). RIWATCH, based in Arunachal Pradesh, is an institute that works to research and document the geopolitically significant and ethnically diverse North East region of India. Dr. Begi and Shri Vijay Swami are both leaders in RIWATCH, serving as Chairperson and Executive Director, respectively. The forum will discuss topics related to the health of indigenous populations and socio-economic and cultural issues in Arunachal Pradesh and the North East region of India. Speakers, USF faculty and students will brainstorm on the creation of international learning opportunities for students interested in this area. This event is sponsored by the Center for India Studies, USF World in collaboration with the Asian Alliance, the International Center for Cultural Studies USA Inc. (ICCS) and the School of Social Work. A USF World International Education Month Event!
