Celebrate Women’s History month with the Peace Corps Women’s History Month panel and donation drive. Guest speakers will discuss issues that affect women around the world. The panel includes Michelle Crowder-Soellner, Olga Plakhotnik and Rakshinda Shah. Michelle Crowder-Soellner is the Social Change Community Organizer from the Sunrise Domestic and Sexual Violence Center and will be talking about her organization and working with women who deal with domestic abuse. Olga Plakhotnik is a Fullbright Scholar in the Women’s and Gender Studies department and will be talking about international feminist partnerships and feminism in Eastern Europe. Rakshinda Shah is a Women’s and Gender Studies graduate student who will be talking about women and education in an international setting.

Peace Corps will be taking donations for Sunrise, a center that works with victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault in Dade City, Florida.

The Peace Corps is a volunteer program where participants are sent to countries around the world to work on issues ranging from AIDS education to information technology and environmental preservation.
