Title: A Tribute to the Legends of Indian Classical Music

The Center for India Studies in collaboration with Swaralaya, the renowned musical organization of Tampa Bay, invites the USF community to an evening of Indian Classical Music. This special evening is a tribute to the legends of Indian Classical Music, Pandit Ravi Shankar and Vidwan M.S Gopalakrishnan. Performers include Shri Mahabala on sitar (plucked stringed instrument) Shri Thiru Pant on the tabla (hand drums), Ms. Kalpana Ajay on violin and Shri Venupuri on the mridangam (percussion instrument used in Carnatic music). Even newcomers to Indian Classical music will find this program entertaining and educational. We encourage everyone to attend.

The event is free for USF Students, but there is an entry fee for others
