Title: Religious Beliefs in China (OLLI class)

Description:

This is a 3-week (6 hours) course with a brief introduction to Chinese religious beliefs of the past and present. The course will focus on Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism (Taoism), folk beliefs (such as ancestor worship) and shamanism. There will be a short discussion on foreign religions such as Christianity and Islam. The course is taught by Kun Shi of the USF Confucius Institute and will also include discussions and short videos.

The course is open to everyone. To register, call 813 974 8422 or send an email to Ettinger@usf.edu. The class is held on Wednesdays from August 14th to August 28th.
