This course will be held on Wednesdays from February 12 – March 19, 2014. China is known for having the world's longest continuous civilization. This course will provide an historical overview of Chinese cultures, including belief and value systems, social structure, art, music, and regional and ethnic diversity. Through illustrated lectures and discussions, participants will come away with a better understanding of the changing patterns of Chinese civilization. The course is taught by Kun Shi,  USF's Confucius Institute Director, and provided by a partnership between the Confucius Institute and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).
