The Education Abroad Office invites those interested in sponsoring a study abroad program to attend the session:  Proposing and Marketing your Study Abroad Program

Intended Audience:  Faculty, Advisors, Chairs and/or Deans interested in creating a study abroad program

Program Overview:  This session will provide detailed insight into the steps one must consider while creating a study abroad program, how to propose the program on the Education Abroad website, and how to best market one’s newly formed program.

Participants will learn:

•         The benefits of study abroad for students, faculty and departments
•         When to start the planning process and steps to consider along the way
•         Various models for Faculty-Led study abroad programs and additional inclusions to make your program as beneficial and marketable as possible
•         Roles of the Education Abroad Office, Faculty, and Academic Units in the process
•         The Elements of a Proposal and how to submit one on the Education Abroad website
•         Tips for working with Students, Advisors, other faculty, Departments, and the Education Abroad Office to best promote your program
•         Alternative Marketing techniques to generate excitement and increase retention
