Chinese Hand Dance by LIU Yan - CI Lecture and Demonstration

Dr. LIU Yan is a classical Chinese dancer of international reputation. She won many dance awards in China and beyond, and was chosen to be the lead dancer at the 2008 Olympic Games opening in Beijing, but was injured. She will join Prof. Merry Lynn Morris at the USF School of Theater and Dance for a week of teaching and performance as part of the 40th anniversary of VSA (Very Special Artists). Her presentation on the classical Chinese hand dance on October 13 is based on her doctoral dissertation research. The CI Lecture is free.
Additionally, LIU Yan will join a VSA performance on October 16, Friday, at 8:00 p.m. in Theatre 2.
