Title: The Psychology of Writing a Successful Fulbright CORE Award Application
Date: Wed. Apr 19, 2017
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Description:

Learn the steps for writing and the psychology of writing a successful Fulbright CORE Award Application. Fulbright applications are different from research grant applications, so this will be a new experience, even if you have obtained many other grants in the past. Attending this workshop, and then participating in at least one beginners' writing group, will maximize the probability that you will be awarded a Fulbright CORE Award. During this workshop, you will see examples of successful applications from past years (from the 1st draft to the final draft); and you will learn why those changes brought the person success. You will learn: 1) to view each award for which you think you may apply with “new eyes;” 2) to read your narrative through the Reviewers’ eyes; 3) to consider how to make the Fulbright mission evident in your writing; and 4) other suggestions that will help your award application to rise to the top.
