Description: Bernard LaFayette, Jr.a Civil Rights Movement activist will conduct a training session on non-violence at USF. A courageous Freedom Rider, an associate of Dr. King in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and national coordinator of the Poor People's Campaign, Dr. LaFayette is an ordained minister, professor and educator, and is recognized as an authority on the strategy of nonviolent social change. He is the founding Director of the Center and has successfully led education and training programs in Kingian Nonviolence in countries such as South Africa, Colombia, Nigeria, the Middle East, and Mexico. The training session will be followed by a forum discussion.
