Description: USF Summer in France - Normandy & Paris, May/June 2004 Join a six-week program in France and study French Language, Culture, and Civilization. USF Offers a new program combining stays in Normandy and in Paris, France! Program features: * The first three weeks of the program will focus on French language instruction and immersion in French daily life, including interaction with French students. * The third week of the program provides an introduction to history that will feature visits throughout Normandy, from abbeys to chateaux, and from battlefields to famous war memorial sites. * For the final three weeks of the program, students will live and study in Paris. Here, the emphasis will be on French civilization, particularly French history, humanities, and the arts. Activities will include fine arts performances and visits to museums and palaces. * Cultural excursions will take students to important points of interest outside of Paris that relate to the academic focus of this part of the program. * The Program Director is Dr. Roberta Tucker, USF World Language Education Department. * French language instruction will be offered at different levels in this program * Students may earn up to nine credits. - - - For more information, visit the Study Abroad Website at
