Description: Miami, Cuban American Politics and the Presidential Election Max Castro, Ph.D., is co-author of the book This Land Is Our Land: Immigrants in Power in Miami, University of California Press, 2003. Visiting Professor in Comparative Studies PhD program at Florida Atlantic University, teaching "Constructing Latino Identity. Dr. Castro is a bilingual columnist whose columns appear regularly in the nation's largest Latino newspaper, La Opinion (Los Angeles), and formerly in the Miami Herald. He was a senior researcher at the University of Miamis North-South Center.
