Office of the Dean

Welcome to the Office of the Dean of International Affairs at USF. The Office of the Dean is led by Dr. Maria Crummett, who was appointed as Dean of International Affairs during the spring of 2006. Visit the employee directory to learn more about the Office of the Dean Staff.

The Office of the Dean is responsible for the following:

• management of policy development, strategic planning, budget, and human resources for International Affairs

• development of relationships and partnerships with local and international donors, businesses, institutions, and foreign institution governments

• administration and development of mutually strengthening and strategic agreements with international institutions of higher education

• hosting and assisting visiting scholars, dignitaries, and other international guests of the university

• serving as the USF Fulbright representative, providing informational sessions to academic departments and advising individual faculty members on the Fulbright application process. (To learn more visit the USF Fulbright Directory or you can email Dean Maria Crummett.)

• administration of the Florida-France Linkage Institute (Out-of-State Tuition Exemption Program for International Students) and serving as a an institutional partner in the leadership of the Florida-Japan Linkage Institute and the Florida-China Linkage Institute (visit the About Florida-Linkages Institutes page)

• advising the President, the Provost, and Deans on matters related to International Affairs
