International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States. The Education Abroad Fair offers information and opportunities for USF students to study abroad. Opportunities include semester exchange, short term programs, service learning, volunteering, internships and dual degree opportunities.

International Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Symposium : The MCH challenges of Niger
This summer, 12 COPH students traveled to Niger with Professor Amina Alio to conduct MCH research in the areas of breast cancer, cervical cancer, fistula, and infant nutrition. These students will share their experiences and research.

Chinese Culture Experience Week
Chinese Culture Experience Week allows students to experience a variety of educational and cultural activities including: Kungfu and Calligraphy, Q&A about Chinese Ancient Thinkers, Chinese Characters Tripod, Take a photo in Beijing Opera costumes, Chinese Scenery, Ancient Chinese Science and Technology, Paper-cutting of Chinese Horoscope Animals, Chinese Folk Music, Chinese Food, and Chinese Tea.

Boren Scholarship Information - Money to Study Abroad
Are you interested in studying abroad with funding? Boren Scholarships provide American undergraduate students with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experiences in areas of the world critical to the future security of our nation, in exchange for their commitment to seek work in the federal government. Maximum scholarship awards are: $10,000 for a semester or $20,000 for a full academic year! Ms. Susan Sharp, Assistant Director for Boren Scholarships and Fellowships at the Institute of International Education, will be visiting our campus to meet you! Refreshments will be served.

Koto Classical Music Performance
The koto is a traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument, and is the national instrument of Japan. USF is honored to have famed koto player, Yoshiko Carlton, give demonstration and lecture on Koto classical music. Two USF School of Music students will perform with the Koto musician.
