International Services

Mandatory New Student Check-in

All incoming international students are required to check-in with International Services through a free scheduled check-in session prior to attending classes for their first term.

Click here for a list of Available Check-in Dates

Registration is required to attend! Please complete the registration form below to sign up for the check-in session you plan to attend. If you do not register we will not have your documents ready for you at check-in.

Plan to arrive on time and to stay for the entire check-in session as the check-in process requires your attendance for the entirety of the event.

Students should bring the following documents to Check-In for photocopying by our International Services:

  • Passports for student and any accompanying family members;
  • Proof of current immigration status:  I-20 or DS-2019 or I-797 or other immigration documents;
  • I-94 Arrival/Departure for all family members (NOTE: white card processed at the Port of Entry).
  • SEVIS Fee Receipt (ONLY if F or J visa).
  • Graduate students who have been awarded Graduate Assistantships should bring their offer letters to Check-In, to receive a SSN letter. Please note: all other students must receive an on-campus job offer before they can request an SSN letter.

If you have questions, regarding the check-in process, please contact International Services via email at internationalservices@iac.usf.edu or by phone at 813-974-5102.
