Annual “Confucius Institute Day” Events Completed

The fourth annual “Confucius Institute (CI) Day” celebration was held on September 28 during 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the USF Patel Center for Global Solutions. Mr. and Mrs. Griffith Donate 10 Chinese Artifacts to the Confucius Institute

George (Bern) Griffith is a world traveler particularly to the Greater China region. He traveled to Hong Kong and Macao in the late 1950s, and then made numerous trips to China. Over the years, he accumulated a large collection of Chinese artifacts, some dating back to hundreds of years. Recently, he decided to donate ten items to USF to be displayed for the students and faculty as well as the larger community. (Read More…)

12 USF Students Awarded Gilman Scholarship for Summer 2015

From Costa Rica to South Korea, 12 undergraduate students will travel to all corners of the world this summer for a range of study abroad programs after they were each awarded a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. The students will have the opportunity of a lifetime to be engaged with other cultures and languages, while furthering their studies related to each respective major. (Read More…)
