January 7, 2016

The University of South Florida is deeply saddened by the terror attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015. Our sympathies go out to the French people, our French community here at USF and all those who lost loved ones or were shaken by these events. USF maintains a constant watch on world events in order to give our students, staff and faculty the best advice we can.

If you are currently traveling abroad and wish to reestablish your travel and security or seek further clarity around your current travel plans, please contact Ben Chamberlain, International Risk and Safety Officer, in USF World who will be an excellent resource for you.

Similarly, we recognize that members of the USF system community may be traveling internationally during 2016 and we want to reassure you that USF World monitors world events and maintains a 24/7 International Assistance Line (1-813-317-5815) for your use. You may also choose to contact Ben at bchamberlain@usf.edu and he can assist you in ensuring you have appropriately considered your safety.  As a reminder, please refer to the USF related student and business travel guidelines and services on our website.

Wishing the USF community safe travels,

Roger Brindley, Vice Provost and Associate Vice President, USF World
