USF World Statement Regarding Recent Events in Paris

The University of South Florida is deeply saddened by the terror attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015. Our sympathies go out to the French people, our French community here at USF and all those who lost loved ones or were shaken by these events. USF maintains a constant watch on world events in order to give our students, staff and faculty the best advice we can.

If you are currently traveling abroad and wish to reestablish your travel and security or seek further clarity around your current travel plans, please contact Ben Chamberlain, International Risk and Safety Officer, in USF World who will be an excellent resource for you.

Similarly, we recognize that members of the USF system community may be traveling internationally during 2016 and we want to reassure you that USF World monitors world events and maintains a 24/7 International Assistance Line (1-813-317-5815) for your use. You may also choose to contact Ben at and he can assist you in ensuring you have appropriately considered your safety.  As a reminder, please refer to the USF related student and business travel guidelines and services on our website.

USF International Student Population Gets A Boost

Working hand-in-hand with International Services, USF’s main administrative and immigration advising office, INTO USF is exceeding expectations. With higher than expected international student enrollment figures, INTO USF has become an important portal for international students to matriculate into the university. INTO USF offers English language programs and Pathways programs that merge language study, and academic course work. This curriculum allows international students to prepare for entry into a degree program at USF. Read the INTO press release>>

International Services Participates in USF Homecoming Parade
October 13, 2010

As part of an annual ritual, the office of International Services participated in 2010 Homecoming Parade on the USF Tampa campus. USF international students carrying flags of their home countries walked in front of the decorated International Affairs cart with flags from across the globe, representing USF’s international student population. The route of the parade was lined with USF students, faculty, alumni and future Bulls showing their support for USF.

International Services Welcomes Fall 2010 New International Students

USF welcomed its incoming international students with a reception and a chance to meet USF administrators, faculty, and other students. Hosted by International Services this event kicks off the fall semester and gives new international students a chance to come together before classes start.  (Read More…)
