Spring 2016 International Student Sash Ceremony
May 24, 2016

This May the USF System conferred more than 6,500 degrees during six commencement ceremonies held over the course of four days. Of those graduates, more than 400 were international students registered for the Tampa campus. (Read More…)


Gilman Scholars and Freeman Awards Announced
May 3, 2016

This summer 15 University of South Florida (USF) students of more than 1,150 American undergraduate students from 377 colleges and universities across the U.S. were selected to receive the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to study or intern abroad during the summer 2016 academic term. (Read More…)


International Student Association Awarded Across Campus

USF Names Vice President for USF World
April 22, 2016

TAMPA, Fla. (April 22, 2016) – USF announces the promotion of Dr. Roger Brindley to USF System Vice President for USF World. As Vice Provost and USF System Associate Vice President for USF World, Brindley has overseen system-wide global engagement for USF since July 2013. Dr. Brindley will assume the role of Vice President for USF World beginning July 1, 2016. (Read More…)


USF World Statement Regarding Recent Events in Paris

The University of South Florida is deeply saddened by the terror attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015. Our sympathies go out to the French people, our French community here at USF and all those who lost loved ones or were shaken by these events. USF maintains a constant watch on world events in order to give our students, staff and faculty the best advice we can.

If you are currently traveling abroad and wish to reestablish your travel and security or seek further clarity around your current travel plans, please contact Ben Chamberlain, International Risk and Safety Officer, in USF World who will be an excellent resource for you.

Similarly, we recognize that members of the USF system community may be traveling internationally during 2016 and we want to reassure you that USF World monitors world events and maintains a 24/7 International Assistance Line (1-813-317-5815) for your use. You may also choose to contact Ben at bchamberlain@usf.edu and he can assist you in ensuring you have appropriately considered your safety.  As a reminder, please refer to the USF related student and business travel guidelines and services on our website.
