USF World Statement Regarding Recent Events in Paris

The University of South Florida is deeply saddened by the terror attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015. Our sympathies go out to the French people, our French community here at USF and all those who lost loved ones or were shaken by these events. USF maintains a constant watch on world events in order to give our students, staff and faculty the best advice we can.
If you are currently traveling abroad and wish to reestablish your travel and security or seek further clarity around your current travel plans, please contact Ben Chamberlain, International Risk and Safety Officer, in USF World who will be an excellent resource for you.
Similarly, we recognize that members of the USF system community may be traveling internationally during 2016 and we want to reassure you that USF World monitors world events and maintains a 24/7 International Assistance Line (1-813-317-5815) for your use. USF President Judy Genshaft Honored with Global Vision and Education Award

Next month, USF System President Judy Genshaft will be honored for her global vision and cultural understanding at the 6th Annual Atlantic Institute Peace & Dialogue Awards Dinner, hosted by the Atlantic Institute’s Tampa Bay Branch, in partnership with the Istanbul Cultural Center at Tampa Bay.
The Peace & Dialogue Awards Dinner is an opportunity for community leaders of all cultures, backgrounds, faiths, and professions to share their views on a selected topic, this year highlighting “The Role of Education in Fostering Mutual Respect Across Global Civilizations.”
It is also the Atlantic Institute’s honor to publicly recognize influential community leaders who actively promote cultural understanding and diversity in their organizations and communities. It is the hope that the public recognition will encourage the recipients to continue their efforts and lead others to similar activities and projects advancing a more peaceful relationship between our communities and nations.

12 USF Students Awarded Gilman Scholarship for Summer 2015

From Costa Rica to South Korea, 12 undergraduate students will travel to all corners of the world this summer for a range of study abroad programs after they were each awarded a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.
