Fall 2010 Study Abroad Fair
Fall 2010 Study Abroad Fair
October 12, 2010

On Tuesday, October 12, 2010, Terrell Sessums Mall was filled with enthusiastic students crowding around tables that showcased destinations across the globe. Taking over the walkway between the College of Education and Burger King, the 2010 Fall Education Abroad Fair gave students the opportunity to explore countries in Asia, Europe, Australia, and South America. The fair included programs sponsored by the colleges of Business, Arts, Education, and the Confucius Institute. The tables were stacked with information brochures, fliers, and giveaways from Education Abroad. Each semester the Education Abroad Fair allows students to interact with study abroad advisors and find out more about summer and semester programs, the application process, funding, and most importantly, where they would like to go. “I was on my way to class and stopped to see what the buzz was about. I ended up speaking to an advisor, and I’m convinced that this is a great idea. I’ve never really thought about studying abroad, but I may just have to give it a shot,” said one student who was at the London and Paris program table.
