ISLAC Hosts British Historian Jean Stubbs and Cuban Novelist Pedro Perez Sarduy

On Thursday, April 14, the Institute for the Study of Latin America and the Caribbean (ISLAC) hosted dual presentations by British historian, Dr. Jean Stubbs and author, Pedro Perez-Sarduy. Dr. Stubbs will explored the Havana Cigar world from the people and knowledge that surround it to the domestic and international political backdrop that it lies against. Perez-Sarduy discussed his novel as the first to be written by a contemporary Afro-Cuban writer on family life in Cuba. Read more>>
