Call for Nominations: USF Student Green Energy Fund Council
September 2, 2011

The USF Office of Sustainability is seeking nominations for faculty and staff representation on the Student Green Energy Fund Council. (Note: students interested in participating on the Council are encouraged to contact Student Government, Department of University and Community Affairs)

The Fund, established earlier this year, allocates approximately one million dollars annually to outcome-driven research and development projects to assist USF in conserving energy, lowering energy-derived greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting renewable energy technologies on the Tampa campus. All current and actively enrolled students and employees (faculty and staff) of USF-Tampa may apply to use the Student Green Energy Fund. It is anticipated that awards will not exceed $100,000 per project.

Members of the SGEF Council are asked to review, provide commentary, and make funding recommendations for proposals received during two funding cycles each year (with deadlines in October and March). Appointments to the Council are effective from September 2011 to August 2012. Council members may seek additional (including consecutive) terms.
