USF Signs Agreement with Italian Education Abroad Programming Provider
November 2, 2011
The University of South Florida recently signed an agreement of collaboration with Palazzi (Florence Association for International Education), a leading provider of study abroad programming in Florence, Italy.
Palazzi is a European Union accredited, non-profit education institution with five academic interdisciplinary institutions located in Florence.
The agreement between both institutions will qualify USF as the School of Record for Palazzi, enabling USF students and students from other United States institutions to receive USF academic credit for their studies at Palazzi. Palazzi’s major course offerings include: Hospitality and Culinary options; the Arts; Italian language and culture; Humanities; and Mass Communications. Apart from these areas, Palazzi also offers a handful of courses in Environmental Studies, Business and Sports/Health Studies.
This new agreement isn’t USF’s first with Palazzi; both institutions have been working together since 2006. In the past two years, over 140 USF students and a number of USF faculty have travelled to Palazzi’s state-of-the-art facilities to gain an international experience.
