USF-CI Hosted a Show by 20 Performing Artists from China on November 21st
November 29, 2011

A performing troupe from Xuzhou Normal University (XNU) from China presented a superb show to the USF and Tampa community members on November 21st, in Theatre 1 of the USF College of The Arts. Although most of the performers were students majoring in dance and music, their performance was professional and very impressive, as demonstrated by the photos below. Their one-hour performances included traditional folk music, dance and martial arts, and won loud applauses from about 400 people in the audience. View the Program >>

The delegation of 23 members was led by Dr. Wang Chao, Vice President of XNU. They just completed many performances for a week at the Miami Book Fair International. The event was opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Karen Holbrook, Senior Vice President of USF for Research, Innovation, and Global Affairs. The performances were hosted by the XNU student Ms. Chen Xiaoxi (speaking in English) and USF student Samantha Ashworth (speaking in Chinese).
