The Largest New Year Event on the USF Campus

This year, the USF Confucius Institute and Chinese Student and Scholars Association partnered to host the Chinese New Year Celebration on January 24th at USF. The event was held in a large tent adjacent to the MLK Plaza with over 500 people in attendance to experience Chinese culture and dumplings. Performances included song, dance, musical instruments, Chinese stories/tongue twisters, martial arts and jazz. Performers included USF students (Misty Sirine, Tina Danh, Madison Johnson, Niclas Asteberg, Yiyu Yao and Yicong Kang), CI pipa musician Jianghua Zou, and community artists (Wei Xue and her My Bright Dream Troupe, and Mario Salazar and his martial arts team).
