Delegation of Indian Higher Education Universities Visit USF
June 4, 2012
As part of its global outreach strategy, the University of South Florida extended an invitation to the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) Delegation of Indian Higher Education Universities to visit the USF Tampa campus.
Arriving in Tampa on June 4, 2012, the IACC delegation was welcomed by Associate Vice President for Global Affairs Dr. Maria Crummett and introduced to senior officials, deans, chairpersons and directors of various USF departments and colleges. The delegation was made up of higher education representatives from across India who came to the U.S. in association with the IACC, a not-for-profit organization that is the only bilateral Chamber of Commerce committed to the development of Indo-US business and trade relations.
Following their meeting with USF representatives, IACC delegates split up into groups and were taken on guided tours through the Nanotechnology Research and Education Center, and the Advanced Visualization Center, two of USF’s most specialized research labs. Delegates also attended a presentation at the College of Business on MBA and undergraduate programs.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with Indian educational institutions interested in pursuing relations with universities in the US and to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
