Visit from Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University

Delegates from Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University (HCMCMP) came to the University of South Florida on a week-long visit from Vietnam.
Hosted by USF World, President Võ Tấn Sơn and other representatives from the university arrived in Tampa on Friday, June 22nd. The delegation met with several members of the senior administration including Senior Vice President for Global Affairs & International Research Dr. Karen A. Holbrook, Vice President for Research & Innovation Dr. Paul R. Sanberg, Associate Vice President for Global Affairs Dr. MarÍa Crummett and Associate Vice President for Global Academic Programs Dr. Roger Brindley.
Interested in a first-hand look at USF’s state-of-the-art facilities, the delegation was given an extensive guided tour of the university’s research centers including the Tampa Bay Technology Incubator, the Center for Drug Discovery and Innovation, the Global Health Infectious Disease Research Laboratories and USF’s newly founded medical training unit, the Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS).
Additionally, both universities signed an agreement indicating potential future collaboration opportunities.
