USF Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies Hosts First Lecture

Internationally recognized author and journalist Christopher de Bellaigue spoke at USF on former Iranian President Mossadeqh and the West’s relationship with Iran.

Through his journalistic career covering the Middle East and South Asia, Bellaigue has become a credible commentator on the political environment in this region of the world. Formerly the

Executive Director of the Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Mohsen M. Milani, and internationally recognized author and journalist, Christopher de Bellaigue.

Tehran correspondent for the Economist, he is also known for his books ‘In the Rose Garden of the Martyrs: A Memoir of Iran’, ‘Rebel Land: Unraveling the Riddle History in a Turkish Town’ and ‘Patriot of Persia’.

The event began with an introduction by USF Senior Vice President for Global Affairs and was moderated by Dr. Mohsen Milani, Executive Director of USF World’s newly established Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies.
