August 28, 2012

The Florida Consortium for International Education (FCIE) will host their 12th Annual International Education Event at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida on September 27 and 28, 2012.

This year’s topic titled “Classrooms without Borders: Internationalizing the Curricula” will feature keynote speaker Dr. Carl Jubran, President of the Institute for American Universities in France who will talk about his extensive experience with internationalizing the campus and the curriculum in the United States and abroad.

Over the two-day period, international educators from universities across the state and the country will lead and attend sessions discussing the cross-cultural experience, faculty involvement in education abroad programs, affiliations between Florida institutions and institutions abroad, and applying for a Fulbright award.

Director of USF Education Abroad Amanda Maurer and Education Abroad Advisor Julie Ficarra will be presenting at the conference.
