Dr. Chandrika Kaul Speaks at USF

Dr. Chandrika Kaul, author of Reporting the Raj – The British Press and India c. 1880 – 1922 addressed an audience of faculty, students and scholars at the Grace Allen room on April 2, 2009. The event was sponsored by the Center for India Studies and the Department of Geography. Her talk titled, “An Imperial Village: Communications, Media and Globalization in Modern India” discussed the history of the communication revolution, and its role in colonial India.
Dr. Chandrika Kaul is the Vice-President of the South Asian Studies Association in the U.S. She currently teaches in the Department of Modern History at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
