Ottanelli Named Finalist for National Italian Committee

Dr. Fraser Ottanelli from the Department of History at the University of South Florida has been selected as a finalist to sit on the National Committee of the Italian Agency for the Evaluation of University and Research Institutes (ANVUR). Set up by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) the committee is charged with evaluating all applicants for positions as Associate or Full Professor in “Contemporary History” [1815-present] in Italian Universities.

The five-person committee is composed of four Full professors affiliated with Italian universities and one from a non-Italian university in a country member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD.)  

Five finalists from OECD countries were selected through a review of their scholarly accomplishments. The non-Italian member of the committee will be selected randomly from this group of names on 12th December 2012.
