Celebrate International Education Week 2013 with USF World
September 26, 2013
A joint initiative between the Department of Education and U.S. Department of State, International Education Week (IEW) is celebrated in more than 100 countries across the globe. The week pays homage to international education and the global opportunities offered across campus.
International Education Week 2013 takes place November 11-15th and USF World is putting together a university calendar of events to recognize the benefits of international education through a variety of events and presentations. USF departments, clubs and organizations are encouraged to submit events to be added to the calendar. In previous years submissions have included international workshops, concerts, debates, film screenings and guest speakers. View the IEW calendar at http://global.usf.edu/iew.php.
USF World annually sponsors several signature IEW events including the International Photo Competition and the International Festival. Students, faculty, staff and alumni can submit photos of their travels abroad for a chance to win in one of five categories. USF World will announce the winners of the competition on Tuesday, November 12th in the bookstore. Multicultural Affairs, INTO and USF World co-sponsor the International Festival where students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to experience different cultures, performances and food.
If you are interested in participating or have an event you’d like added to the calendar, send an email with your event details (date, time, activity details, location and time) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
