USF World and INTO-USF Travel to China to Expand Undergraduate Recruitment Opportunities
February 19, 2014

USF Vice Provost and AVP, Dr. Roger Brindley, recently traveled to China with INTO-USF’s Director, Dr. Glen Besterfield as part of the re-launch of international student recruitment from China. Currently, USF has over 25 partnership agreements and multiple initiatives like the Confucius Institute and Education Abroad programs with institutions and organizations throughout China. As part of the 2013-2018 Strategic Goals USF would like to further strengthen undergraduate recruitment in key international markets. Over the course of seven days working alongside INTO-USF colleagues, Dr. Brindley met over one hundred and twenty educational consultants in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hainan.

A USF delegation met educational consultants in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hainan.

The USF delegation included Rocky the Bull, who visited iconic locations including the Great Wall of China. Rocky and the delegation met with consultants and were greeted with great enthusiasm by young and old alike. As a result of this strategic effort the INTO-USF Center was able to introduce new pathway options to Chinese educational officials, and discuss direct admissions opportunities. USF can look forward to increasing interest in undergraduate programs from some of the best and brightest minds in China over the forthcoming months and years!
