USF World Hosts International Photo Competition

The International Photo Competition is a USF tradition, which allows USF students, professors, staff, and alumni to share their international experiences with the entire university. Participants have the chance to win prizes, receive campus wide recognition, and have their work displayed around the university. Prizes are offered in multiple categories including:

  • Landscape, Seascape, and Cityscape- 5 winners
  • Portrait- 5 winners
  • USF Favorite- 1 winner
  • Bulls Abroad- 1 winner
  • Grand Prize- 1 winner

The USF Favorite category will recognize the photo that receives the most votes on Facebook, where all of the entries will be posted. The rest of the categories will be evaluated by a panel of judges including Noel Smith, Curator of Latin American and Caribbean Art and Curator of Education for the Institute for Research in Art at USF; Chip Weiner, photojournalist and educator at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts; and Toivo Voll, a previous Grand Prize winner of the International Photo Competition.

The photo submission deadline for the competition is Friday, October 17 by 5:00PM, and participants are allowed to enter up to ten photos. All winners will be announced during International Education Week.
