In Foreign Affairs, the country’s leading journal on foreign policy, Dr. Mohsen Milani, Executive Director of USF World’s center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies, argues in favor of political cooperation between the United States and Iran in Iraq against the terrorists of the Islamic States in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). He writes that it is not particularly surprising that the United States is on the verge of rapprochement with Iran. What is surprising, however, is how it’s coming about — not through negotiations over the fate of Tehran’s nuclear program, but as a result of the battle against ISIS. Read the article here>>
