Celebrate International Education Week 2014 with USF World
September 16, 2014
A joint initiative between the Department of Education and U.S. Department of State, International Education Week (IEW) is celebrated in more than 100 countries across the globe. The week pays homage to international education and the global opportunities offered across campus.
This year, International Education Week 2014 will take place November 17-21st. USF World is putting together a university calendar of events to recognize the benefits of international education through a variety of events and presentations. USF departments, clubs and organizations are encouraged to submit events to be added to the calendar. In previous years submissions have included international workshops, concerts, debates, film screenings and guest speakers.
USF World annually sponsors several signature IEW events including the International Photo Competition and the International Festival. Students, faculty, staff and alumni can submit photos of their travels abroad for a chance to win in one of five categories. USF World will announce the winners of the competition during International Education Week in the bookstore. Multicultural Affairs, Student Government and USF World co-sponsor the International Festival where students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to experience different cultures, performances and food.
If you are interested in participating or have an event you’d like added to the calendar, send an email with your event details (date, time, activity details, and location) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
