Another Success for the 2014 Mid-Autumn Festival
September 29, 2014

On September 19, from around 7pm to 9pm, the USF Confucius Institute, in collaboration with its co-sponsors – Chinese Students & Scholars Association, Chinese Culture & Language Club, Department of World Languages, INTO USF, Project Pengyou, and USF World, held its annual celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival at the MSC Ballroom. At the colorfully decorated venue, the celebration started with moon cake tasting, followed by welcoming addresses by Dr. Roger Brindley, Vice Provost and USF System Associate Vice President for USF World, Kun Shi, Director of CI, and then by representatives of the co-sponsors. After that came a variety of wonderful performances by USF students and CSSA. Amidst fits of applauses and laughter, two rounds of raffle drawing added to the gala of the evening. There was a big turn-out of over 600 people at the event, and many said they really enjoyed the event and stayed to the very end.
