USF Presents at College Day in London
October 6, 2014

USF is so proud of all our international students, alumni . . . and their parents! At the recent US-UK Fulbright Commission College Day in London, attended by 5,000 UK students interested in studying in the United States, Anne Mockensturm and Mitch McNelly from the Office of International Admissions joined Vice Provost Roger Brindley as they shared the benefits of studying at USF with prospective students and their parents. College Day is one of the largest and busiest recruitment fairs in the world and the USF team were thrilled to be joined by  Anna-Louise O’Toole. Mrs. O’Toole, whose son Timothy is a freshman at USF this year was our wonderful UK-based “Parent Ambassador.”

She was able to bring another valuable perspective to our conversations throughout the day. While the admissions team spoke to students about USF’s global reputation, academic programs, admission requirements, and a student’s experience at USF, Ms. O’Toole could answer a broad range of parent questions including the dedication of our admissions staff, the quality of the campus experience, how the residence halls and meal plans work, and the university commitment to student success.

In the past two years USF’s UK student population has doubled from 29 to 58 students and USF expects to bring more excellent students from the UK in the upcoming years. Our thanks to Mrs. O’Toole for joining the team as students, alumni and parents all help USF further develop our global reputation!
