First Round of Traditional Chinese Medicine Classes Completed at USF
May 25, 2016
Thanks to the Hanban support, the Confucius Institute partnered with the USF College of Public Health to offer a non-credit Traditional Chinese Medicine class from January 22 to April 15; 23 USF employees and community members attended. The course was taught by Prof. Li Liu from Gansu TCM University and the local educator/practitioner Dr. Haihe Tian, assisted by Dr. Sarvadaman Pathak.
In May, with the CI partnership with OLLI, Prof. Liu taught three weekly sessions to roughly 40 OLLI members and residents at the John Knox Village. The sessions were focused on Chinese traditional methods for self-care and prevention, and were well received.
