International Fest 2010
November 18, 2010
The University of South Florida celebrated International Education Week 2010 with a week of activities across campus. The highlight of the week was the first annual International Fest hosted by Student Government, Student Affairs, and the office of International Affairs. The festival began with a ‘Parade of Flags’ led by the USF Band. Divided into continents, scores of students joined in the celebration visiting student booths and study abroad tables highlighting programs and cultures from across the globe. Students collected stamps on their ‘passports’ and were treated to a taste of international cuisine.
The event played host to entertaining cultural performances by USF student organizations and celebrity acrobat, Liang. Among the performances was a moving excerpt by students of the College of the Arts from the theatrical production, “Darfur – What the Heart Remembers”. View the slide show >>
