USF Confucius Institute Says Goodbye to Visiting Faculty

The USF Confucius Institute bid farewell to two of its esteemed faculty late last week. Returning to China, Dr. Zhaoying Han and Dr. Liqiang Zang visited USF as part of a long-standing collaboration with Nankai University.

Serving as Associate Director of the Confucius Institute for a year and a half, Dr. Han is professor of International Studies from Zhou Enlai School of Government at Nankai University. Formerly a Fulbright scholar at Johns Hopkins University, he also been a visiting professor at the Mansfield Center at the University of Montana. He is a widely published author on topics related to foreign policy and the United States. An associate professor from the College of Foreign Languages and Culture at Nankai University, Professor Liqiang Zang was a visiting fellow at Harvard University prior to his association with USF.

Both professors spent their time at USF teaching several courses about Chinese culture, business, society and politics, engaging an increasing group of diverse students. They will now return to Nankai University where they will resume their teaching and research careers.
