USF Patel Center Signs Agreement with the Dominican Republic’s National Energy Commission

This agreement paves the way for USF and the National Energy Commission to work on renewable energy initiatives. Initiated by the Patel Center for Global Solutions, the agreement allows researchers from the Dominican Republic to come to USF to receive training and discuss policy in order to further the knowledge necessary for the development of alternative energy.
A special signing ceremony took place on August 25, 2010 where Dr. Maria Crummett, Dean of International Affairs, and Enrique Ramirez, the Executive Director of the Dominican Republic’s National Energy Commission signed the official agreement.
